Karate Kid 2 is a sequel to the original Karate Kid film. The story picks up a few years after the first movie, with Daniel and Mr Miyagi training at a karate tournament in Los Angeles. In this sequel, more of Daniel's personality shines through. He has been living with Mr Miyagi for some time now and has been learning more about Japanese culture while practicing karate every day. Finally, the movie starts off with a Japanese folktale which speaks about how "the tiger cannot beat the dragon" and that "only truth can conquer". After training for a new karate tournament that his father also named the "Karate Kid Tournament", Daniel's father begins to struggle with debt, while Daniel begins to struggle with an inner conflict of whether he wants to be a normal teenager or not. The movie ends on a cliffhanger of sorts, leaving the audience wanting another sequel. The film was shot in China. A video game was developed by Atari titled "". This game has some similarities to the Karate Kid films, but this is not considered canon. The movie was released on 1 April, 2010 in the United Kingdom and Ireland and on 3 June 2010 in the United States and Canada. The first teaser trailer for the film was shown at the Leicester Square Gala screening of "Avatar" on 9 November 2009. A second teaser trailer for the film debuted during "Saturday Night Live" on 31 March 2010. It features a parody of the Karate Kid theme song, as well as additional footage from the film itself. A full trailer was also released along with several posters. The movie poster depicts Daniel-san holding an uppercut toward his father, having changed his surname to Miyagi by tradition. The movie poster also depicts Daniel-san holding his father's gi.The film's soundtrack was released on 6 March 2010. The soundtrack, produced by Hans Zimmer, features songs written by John Powell and Mark Mothersbaugh, who are responsible for the scores to "Pina", "Kung Fu Panda" and "Rise of the Guardians", respectively. Powell also handled the music for "Mean Girls". The soundtrack is mainly composed of original material while some tracks feature previously composed music from other movies sung by other artists, such as Tenacious D in the song "Thriller-zombie". It was digitally released for download on May 21, 2010 through Amazon MP3. While the first film was mainly focused on Daniel and his mentor, Ralph, and the relationships between them, this film is mostly about Daniel and his father. The relationship between Daniel and his father is very one-sided as Miyagi is living with him and training him all day, often without telling him where he is going or why he has to stay somewhere or do something. It becomes even more apparent when Miyagi has to leave for a karate tournament in Japan that Daniel has never heard of. This had been a recurring issue throughout the first two films as well. Daniel's concern over not knowing where Miyagi was goes as far as to say that it's driving him insane. cfa1e77820
