Film Semi Pramis is a film from Argentina, directed by Mariano Tagliavini, that depicts an unlikely friendship between two 12-year-old boys. The film follows the boys as they face each other's homophobia and prejudice through sports, handball games, and a trip to Paris. There is no dialogue throughout the movie - only sound effects and music - so it is mainly reliant on its cinematography for a sense of warmth and understanding. The film begins with a close up of a long scar down one of the two boys' arms. It then cuts to both of them crouching down in an empty swimming pool, bowing their heads in prayer before applying bandages to their wounds. The two lads are also seen removed from the film to have their wounds attended to, just before the beginning of the trip to Paris. It then cuts back to the boys as they are sitting on a bench in Paris. The name of their travel agent is called out, and leaves, only for the boys to take this opportunity to practice their French on each other using broken English. The second boy tries this on his friend with the words, "Do you have a room?" The first boy replies with an enthusiastic 'Oui' but then pauses and gives a puzzled look at his friend's confused expression. He then says "What is it?" followed by an inquisitive stare at his buddy. They then sit quietly together, looking slightly forlorn. Later, the two lads are seen waving goodbye to each other at the airport. They look up at the balcony which is filled with fans cheering for them. The second boy says "Goodbye" and then shyly looks down at his feet. There is an awkward silence between them before they say 'goodbye' again with a slight smile on their faces, trying to make up for their earlier awkwardness. They are then both seen bowing their heads in prayer again before leaving Paris Airport on separate flights via different routes. The credits are shown as they fly through the sky, years later, with the first boy's name listed as 'Lalo'. The second boy is then seen listening to music in his car when he notices the first lad, who is walking past on the other side of the road. He puts down his headphones and rolls down his window. The two exchange smiles before the first lad gives a slight nod. The second lad is bemused by this but they both carry on walking in opposite directions with similar smiles on their faces. The credits then show up at once with a short instrumental piece playing in the background, showing all of the actors' names and crews' names except for one- 'Lalo', which was shown in the beginning of the film, only with an addition of 'Brad Guzan' underneath it instead. cfa1e77820
